NFT floating system for lettuce is consist of floating plate,  net cup, water tank, and black-white film , and steel supporting frame which is hot dip galvanized with long life time and corrosion resistance function.

NFT Floating system for lettuce  is  which refers to a hydroponic mode in which plants are planted on a floating plate and the floating plate naturally floats in a nutrient solution pool. It is a form of cultivation of DFT.

 It is a form of cultivation of DFT. The depth of the nutrient solution in the pond is generally in the range of 10-100cm. According to the depth of the nutrient solution in the pond, it can be divided into a deep water floating system (DWFS, deep water floating system) and a shallow pond floating cultivation system

It is used in the commercial production of hydroponic vegetables and is promoted quickly. The main difference between the shallow pond floating cultivation system and the traditional DFT hydroponics is that the planting plate, planting cup and plant roots all float in the nutrient solution in the planting tank, and the planting plate floats up and down with the change of the liquid level.

If lettuce is planted, thinning should be carried out 3 to 4 times throughout the growth period. The initial cultivation requires a large amount of nutrient solution to fill the cultivation bed. There is no need to change the nutrient solution for each crop change in the future, only the nutrients and water consumed by the crops need to be supplemented. Since the planting plate of the cultivation system floats on the nutrient solution, it is convenient to move, and it is one of the characteristics of deep-water floating cultivation that the planting plate is replaced multiple times according to the size of the plant to save greenhouse space. According to this, the number of plants per unit area of deep-water floating cultivation can be increased by more than double.

2. shortcoming

(3) Strict requirements for disinfection and disease-free operation, otherwise it will be difficult to control the disease once infected, and sometimes serious losses will be caused.

(4) It is only suitable for planting small plant type crops, and it is inconvenient to plant large plant type crops.
