Cucumber planting notice: The cultivation density should not be too high, about 2,500 plants per acre is appropriate. Generally, furrow irrigation or sprinkler irrigation is used for watering. Flood irrigation is not allowed. Sprinkler irrigation is better used when the temperature is too high. The temperature must be adjusted well. According to the standard management method, generally speaking, it should rise rapidly from 20℃ to 26-27℃ between 8-12 o'clock every day; from 12-18 o'clock, it should gradually drop from 26℃ to 16℃; between 18-22 o'clock The temperature should be maintained at 15-16°C from 22:00 to 6:00 the next day, and should be maintained at 11°C from 22:00 to 6:00 the next day. On cloudy days, the daytime temperature should be reduced accordingly.
Temperature control and ventilation in solar greenhouse cucumber cultivation are inseparable. Generally during the harvesting period of cucumbers, the daytime temperature should be maintained at 25 to 28°C. If the temperature exceeds 30°C, the air volume needs to be increased. The night temperature should be maintained at 16 to 20°C, with the temperature in the first half of the night being higher than the second half of the night. Experiments It shows that only 1/4 of the nutrients produced by cucumber leaves during the day can be transported to the roots, stems and fruits, while 3/4 of the nutrients need to be transported at night. Therefore, appropriately increasing the temperature in the first half of the night is beneficial to the transportation of nutrients in the leaves. Lowering the temperature in the middle of the night will help reduce the intensity of respiration and reduce the consumption of nutrient respiration; at the same time, the appropriate temperature difference between day and night is also very beneficial to the future flower bud differentiation of cucumbers and increasing the number of effective female flowers. In addition, during cloudy and low-temperature seasons, the temperature should be kept at the lower limit of the appropriate temperature; conversely, when the outside temperature rises on sunny days and the soil humidity is high, the daytime temperature can be appropriately raised to about 30°C.
